So what's with the dime?

dime

Some have suggested that the "dime" is about "tithing" but that is not it at all, so to clarify and give a little insight:

As the story goes, as best as I can tell it (and one day I'll get the guy to write the whole story), our "guy" was driving one day and had to stop to pay a toll on the turnpike.
He was already having a trying day and when he pulled in he accidentally dropped all his change on the floor of his car, and when he picked up the change he was still short, by 10¢. Being of trying day, he got pretty angry that he was holding up the line by only being short ten cents, and let some of his frustration out on the attendant.

Well, being a man of the Lord, as he drove on he pondered how well he hed NOT handled the situation, and when he arrived at his destination, he got out of his car and behold, on the ground in front of him, a dime.
He took it as a sign from God that what we do is worth far more than a dime, or whatever we're fretting over; God can easily give us a dime, but what of the relationship that we have with other people - or Jesus?

Since then, some of our people have had milestone events, some big, some small, and they all involved finding a dime somewhere in the experience. We've had so many of them we've decided to call them "dime experiences", and these have shown us even further, that God values how we treat each other, and especially those around us. These are the people we should be sharing with about Jesus and what He means to us...

Do you have a dime story?...
